We picked up some calzones that I had the mushrooms and pfefferoni and my friend had the italian. both very good. they have a quite wide menu and a very.
I always order a slice or pizza with each topping. the pizza is pretty good. ordered the auberginen parm sandwich once, which I do not recommend.
After moving to the Atlanta area of New York in 2018, we struggled to find a great Italian restaurant until we discovered Johnnys. While I do miss Ray's famous pizza in the West Village, Johnny's is a close second.
I ordered a 'supreme' pizza, medium. The green peppers were so tiny, I couldn't taste them. The mushrooms were almost not present, and it had too much sausage and pepperoni!! I didn't taste or see cheese or tomato sauce!? It was very bad. The 'Arnold Palmer' tea I tasted like hot water or worse!! It was very disgusting and they had the nerve to charge $23.00 for this garbage! I'm a native New Yorker, so I know how to taste pizza. Also the seats were dirty, and the Mexican cook held coughs and sneezes while cooking, without mask on!!! A terrible experience and a great waste of money. I like Puzza hat the best.
