Lovely traditional English pub with good portion of quality home cooked food and value for money. It is a local pub , a bit 'lost in time ' with plenty of locals on first name basis with the pub staff but we were made to feel welcome. Friendly staff and landlady. After this experience , sometimes I wonder why we go to posh gastropub. I wish there are more pubs like this....will certainly return when we are around the area. Highly recommended.

A step back into the time. home made pies are top quality. great value for money. highly recommended.

We had a great lunch here with delicious homemade cakes, fresh vegetables and a lot of tempting desserts. warm, friendly atmosphere. how the chef manages to take several varied amounts, cook and deliver them with efficiency and a friendly wise beats me. but she makes it brilliant! we're coming back!

Good value homemade food. Renound for the Pies. The pub dog is friendly, but beware of the landlady, she might bite.
