Avaliação da contribuiçãoA nice place to work from if you have some work to get done on your computer. Their space is set up for group gathering and working. Food is also good here which helps you fuel your productivity. I'd say a few things to caution are that sometimes parking around the area can be a challenge and also they tend to shut the area off around 4 pm and they ask you to move over to the other side to the lounge. All in all, it is a nice space to hang out in Tacoma.
Bottom line: the food was okay but the service was great! The indoor seating is a bit tight so hard to fit large parties (more than 5), especially during peak hours (around normal brunch time). We ordered a group mimosa and the OJ wasn 't enough for a second round (I know... the champagne to OJ ratio should 've been adjusted). However, the people working there was generous enough to give us a second round of OJ when we ran out. The braised beef hash was good but i personally did not enjoy the beet that was included. Everything else was perfect. I honestly liked the Alma Patio when they had everything set up outside with tents and heating lamps but this establishment seemed to have either discontinued it or it 's under construction. This place should definitely be on your visit list when in Tacoma!
How the **** does Biscuits and Gravy with eggs and a drip coffee come out to $26 and still ask for a tip? Biscuits and gravy and eggs are $18 plus a $2.50 drip coffee. Seems a bit pricey. Food is alright. When I asked about the price I got a surprised look and no receipt or breakdown. Maybe a 22% tax rate?
I have been here for the music venue, been many years since I ate at The Lounge. The were very short staffed. 20 min after arrival and still waiting for beverages, we begged a passing waitress of we could order. We also had to beg twice to have our water glasses filled, after I watched a wait person with two water carafes fill all the other water glasses in our section. Twice someone walked past the table, we motioned for attention yet no one asked us if we wanted a second drink. The food was very good. We got the chili with the cornbread that arrived uncooked and completely stuck to the iron skillet.
We were there for Brunch so we ordered a Burger and Benedict. The Bison burger has excellent flavor and texture. Very well conceived and constructed. Shoestring fries were a perfect accompaniment. The Benedict is somewhat non-traditional as you must choose between a salmon cake or mushroom cake instead of Canadian bacon. Opted for the salmon but i think the mushroom cake wouldve paired better with the wilted greens. The english muffin SHOULD HAVE been more toasted: it was tough to cut, which is already not fun when dealing with wilted greens, and would have better absorbed the bright citrus Hollandaise. Finally, i also had the Everything 's Gonna Be Alright tea, which is a superior digestive tonic and i wish i could buy it to keep at home.
