El Gaucho - Tacoma

Went in for a birthday dinner, group of 6 reservations for 8 o'clock. They had a birthday card and rose petals on the table. The place is very dim and they have small flashlights on the table to see the menus. The servers were very attentive, professional and friendly. Our guy was great, but I forgot his name. Started with drinks, a friend had a chic Gaucho French 75. You had a smoke gun at the table for the drink. We had appetizers, salads, bread, main course, palate-cleaning dish of grapes, goat cheese, figs and marmalade and dessert. I chose the ribbed eye with truffle butter. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. Also the lobster potatoes. The server put our napkins on our lap and was always polite. If you park Valet, you get a small bag, the chocolate chip cookies and those were delicious. Fantastic dinner from start to finish!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last night, and they did an excellent job! Our table was right at the piano we thought we would be a little loud first, but it was perfect! Travis was our server and he was fantastic! His suggestions were on site and he definitely helped to make the experience fun. The two winners of the night were the shelf of lamb, and this amazing key lime cake!! Both were proposed by Travis. I honestly did not know what to expect, especially because my wife and I do not really eat in these types of facilities on the regular. But I must say, fortunately, that I am at my full 5? review and would give them higher if I could!

The whole environment is too dark, so I couldn't take great photos. Perfect ambience for an intimate romantic date. Food is exquisite. The serving size was between regular and morsel. The service fee automatically calculates 18% of the total invoice. We ordered 3 appetizers, 1 beer and 1 cocktail drink and spent $120. There was live music, it was cool. I will definitely come back to try their steak and seafood the next time. The only thing that made me uncomfortable being a first timer here is the waiter who takes my food away while I'm still eating. I also noticed that if you're not dressed nicely, they're sitting up there. The majority of people wearing fancy clothes sits in the open area below.

Zed and Ryan made my wife a birthday experience. Between the liveliness and the funny fall between the two, the experience made even more pleasant. Can I forget the pianist Kacey Evans for his auditory ambience he was there while we were there. He's a holder. Keep the good work team!!!!

Let me start off by saying that I've been to a lot of restaurants. The food, and the treatment by the staff that I received, was far above and beyond my expectations. I've never been treated so special and felt so comfortable at any other restaurant I've ever been to. The food was amazing, and my steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. I was beyond impressed by the whole experience and I'll definitely be going back again once my wallet recovers from this visit.
