Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe just came back from a fabulous dinner at Christy Hill. We enjoyed so many dinners that have to be disappointed here. I had the opportunity to let Robin know how fantastic this menu is and every time we were at Pinetta has been on the point. The views of Christy Hill hold us back as Lake Tahoe is such an incredibly special place for my husband and me. If you like Lamb, the Moroccan lamb is one of my favorite dishes. Try it anyway!
Beautiful dinner right at the lake with beautiful views. The splurg is definitely worth visiting the northern Lake Tahoe area. Favorite was her taking on a sticky fabric pudding cake, so good. But really everything was delicious. Many interior and exterior seats were friendly and attentive.
For the price we were expecting to be wow-ed more. We had the bread and olives for an appetizer which were good. For our entrees we had the halibut and lamb. The halibut was cooked well and tasted fresh, however, it was missing a layer of flavor. The dish needed an acid element to elevate it. The lamb was a little rough. We are partial to never having lamb precut. The mash underneath was gritty so the textures were contrasting in a not so appealing way. Perhaps a regular mashed potato would have been better. And the pairing of the olive stuffed peppers was harsh. A fresher vegetable like a roasted carrot would have been better. A little disappointed for our date night, but the view was great!
My first time in lake Tahoe and Christy hill was my pick for my one-year anniversary with my girlfriend and we were not disappointed at all! We unfortunately were running late and were still seated in the best seat to view the sunset of Lake Tahoe. We started with a goddess salad and chicken liver moose which came out fast and fresh with a lovely glass of rose for both of us with a hibachi fish with some thin crisps and a delicious pork belly with a cooked watermelon on the bottom which was interesting. Finally, our server was nice enough to provide us with a chocolate bread pudding with whipped cream and a candle for us. 5/5 experience and a great way to end the weekend trip. I highly recommend this place as they have a great menu for any occasion.
Christy Hill is excellent. The Moroccan Spiced Lamb Loin is not to be missed. So delicious. So is the English Toffee Cake. We didn't even remember to take a photo until it was half gone. The staff was wonderful. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. We will make a point to return to Christy Hill every time we visit Lake Tahoe.
