Still Creek Tavern - Tamaqua

Ed and his wife run a great restaurant. One of my favorite places to eat. Food is reasonably priced. The only negative thing is you have to be patient waiting for food as Kathy is the only cook in the kitchen. I always recommend to my friends.

Probably one of the worst restaurants I 've ever been to. The soda was completely flat, my boneless wings were just chicken nuggets and on top of that the wait was outrageous. We got here at 6pm and got our food at 8:50pm. Almost 3 hours to get chicken nuggets that tasted like the ones in the freezer at Walmart. Please do not waste your money, go literally anywhere else.

Fantastic atmosphere and great food. The owners and staff are husband and wife and run a great place. Soups, burgers, and more are here. I enjoy everytime i come in and its well worth every penny.

I am so glad we stopped here!! It was like visiting friends. The food is all home made (per order), and it was very good. They have a soup and salad bar. The soup was delicious. The drinks and beer were cold and served in iced mugs. The Stuffed Tilapia was very good. The crab stuffed flounder was also excellent. But most of all I loved the totally relaxed vibe. Go here to hang out, relax, and de-stress. Don't go here in a hurry. If you are visiting and looking for a place near Jim Thorpe, and don't mind a little drive, go find this place, you will be glad you did!! I will be going back for sure.
