Avaliação da contribuiçãoI had by chance dropped by this newly opened, minimalistly furnished eatery tucked away at a corner lot, a stone's throw from the Windmill.Being on an errand and in a hurry, I tucked into a plate of nasi lemak ordered hastily which arrived equally hurriedly. I was and am pleasantly surprised by the aromatic aroma that accompanied this delectable dish. The richness of the creamy coconut milk steamed rice and served with the freshly prepared sambal and anchovies was unexpectedly wildly appetizing .This ubiquitous simple Malay food fare was rendered unique by the Baba Nyonya culinary skills of the resourceful chef.Try this and the array of equally enticing offerings with exotic names as I intend more leisurely. Dropping by was quite an adventure as the Hobbit would say while I must take leave to slay my own dragon...
Had a scrumptious lunch at Jack's kitchen today. Ordered nasi lemak with chili garam cencaru, kampung fried rice and stir fried kangkung. No doubt the chili garam is the highlight of their restaurant as stated by many other reviews. Definitely something not to be missed in Jack's kitchen! Their nasi lemak sambal has a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with a tinge of sourness to it. Cencaru fish was crispy yet not too dry. Kangkung fried rice on the other hand could be more spicy in my opinion. Cant really taste the spiciness in the rice. Overall the lunch is satisfying!
Reasonable price, very filling and everything is so fresh! So much better than other restaurants which is overrated and expansive. Its a must to try out their Chilli Garam menu.
I always get disappointed trying out Nasi Lemak in other cafes due to their lack of freshness, but Jack's Kitchen proved otherwise. Everything is good, from the coconut rice, to the spicy and mouth-watering sambal. It's even more perfect with its chili garam prawn! :D
Scrumptious, delightful and mouth watering basil pork and chilli garam. The best ever that i have tasted...i just love it very much and frequent the shop at least 3 times a week. :
