Avaliação da contribuiçãoStopped off on my way back to Sydney glad I did..greeted warmly by the lovely Chrissy her son Isaac. I wanted a bit of afternoon sweetness had the most delightful gluten free, caramel chocolate slice! This was incredibly delicious home made! I also took away a Portuguese tart for the road home it was divine..all made on site! They were lovely, warm, friendly country folk I loved meeting them..Also bought some local honey cant wait to come back at some stage for lunch!
The coffee was good, however the four slices of toasted raisin bread were all burnt on one side. Good try to disguise this by putting thick butter all over the burnt side. Did not one bit improve the bitter taste of roasted raisins let alone charcoal bread flavour. Yes I could have complained on the spot instead of posting this review. Likewise you could have tossed the bread in the bin and toasted new bread, as well as retaining a high star rating. 2 stars for the coffee.
I stopped here yesterday in distress as I was trying to get back home to Lismore which was going under water due to the biggest flood in history. I had not been able to contact loved ones for 24hours prior and I was extremely upset. The lovely lady who has this Cafe was an angel to me. I can only say thankyou for the kindness you gave me. We are safe.
A fantastic place to stop on the Pacific Highway with its own outdoor seating in a lovely garden setting and a good choice of light meals. I had a vegetable mornay pie which was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming! Will definitely stop again!
Nothing worth bragging about..... the veggie burger was nice, but you would hope so for just veggies in a bun. The pies weren't good at all though.
