Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night without a reservation and were able to get a table for dinner. We ordered the pork ribs, pan-fried blue cod, and seared salmon. The pork ribs were amazing - the meat was tender and juicy, and the bones easily slid off. However, the cod and salmon didn't quite match up to the ribs, as we have had fresher fish elsewhere. The presentation of the food was great and the service was good. Overall, we highly recommend ordering the ribs if you're a fan of ribs.
Really unexpectedly good. We had a full day out at Doubtful sound and returned for a 4 person dinner here. Everybody was stoked with their meals. Including 2 with the mainland venison (entree) and the mussel carbonara. Very happy stomachs all round. The only critique was that I ordered the Venison medallion which was twice the cost of the Mainland venison but was virtually the same meal. Tasted great but in hindsight I could have saved $20 to get the entree.
This cafe/bar is charming and inviting with a cozy atmosphere. We ordered hot chocolate, which we found to be one of the best in the area. The prices are reasonable and the service is lovely. While there is parking available right outside, spaces are limited. The restrooms are located in a separate building next to the cafe. We only stopped in for drinks and did not try any food.
Friendly service… It was a cold morning.. I really need coffee as because me and my partner going to milford sound and cafe’s opening time was 8am but I didn’t know I went there around 7:30am I was looking at time on closed entrance door and felf sad then lady came out and asked me to come in and gave me coffee even they were closed….. I really thankful to her
I have eaten at this restaurant twice. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, especially on a cold night with the fire lit. The venison was delicious - I ordered it both times. The lamb shanks were also tasty and the steak was decent. The vegetables had varying levels of doneness but were still enjoyable. Overall, it was a pretty good dining experience.
