Avaliação da contribuiçãoAs an avid lover of Mediterranean cuisine, I would say that this is the Best Mediterranean restaurant in the Phoenix area. From the outside it is an unassuming location, but the food is gourmet level delicious . We have travelled to Turkey, Greece, and Egypt and love the food. The dishes of Yemen are similar to Mediterranean and Indian, but with their own Tasty flair. We had the chicken shawarma $8.99) and chicken teakah $10.99) entrees and both had huge portions , and werevery very fresh and hot off the grill. We also had the spinach and cheese bread $1.99) which came with a side salad of tomatoes cucumbers and lettuce and two dipping sauces and was very hot and cheesy and so yummy . The rice wasfragrant and the meat was perfectly seasoned. I love the tomato salsa and the garlicky yogurt dips. I also love the fact that they have free hot Ceylon tea. The prices are excellent, especially based on the amount of food that you get.Other restaurants in town have much smaller portions and higher prices. The service was great and our our waitress, who may have also been the owner was very helpful and patient. I was sad that the bakery was sold out but I am very eager tocome back again soon and check it out. I don't live close by, but I would make the half an hour drive again. I'm looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow!
I agree with all previous reviews that say that Oasis has fresh and tasty food, and large portions of each item. It is a good place for the price. I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't have any Spinach Pie as they had run out, but the nice waiter more than made up for it by giving me more Baklava than I ordered for free.
As every reviewer says, the portion is reasonable but for me the way they cook the food and type of gradience are not adequate. You can feel it during the taste.
