Saffron - Tendring

I ordered takeout from this restaurant, but when it eventually arrived, I was disappointed to find that it did not meet their usual high standards. The naan bread was so hard that it was inedible, making it a waste of money. Saffron used to be the best Indian takeaway in the area, but it seems like they may have a new cook or something because the quality has significantly declined.

I would like to begin by addressing the fact that this restaurant is significantly overpriced for the quality of food received. The rice was dry and hard, the korma sauce was atrocious, and the lamb was extremely chewy. The service did not meet my expectations, as the staff showed little concern for our dining experience. They only checked on us after my companion had left, even though it was clear that the food was not enjoyable. Additionally, we were charged for a chutney tray that was not requested or used, and this was not explained to us when we ordered. Overall, I do not recommend this curry house in Clacton. Their subpar food and service do not justify the high prices. I would give this establishment a generous 1-star rating.

Brilliant service staff were very polite and helpful, food was spot on great value for money. Would definitely revisit.

Amazing staff, quality food, very clean and hygienic. Have been a few times now, staff are always smiling happy to help. Would recommend!

My husband and I visited the Saffron a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much that we thought we would order a take out. Its finally arrived, after nearly two hours and its awful. Nothing like we had when we ate in. So disappointed....
