Excellent location and divided into two parts: party room in the back, business in the front . Parking lot is packed because of the party that was taking place, But it seems it 's OK to park in the hotel parking. Service was good drinks were good restaurant is very clean on the side of a private room. You have a feeling of a wooden lodge. The drinks served by the restaurant of course, but my friend he took care of the catering for this party I attended. There are two hotels, one on each side oh this grill. My friends used on the hotel next-door and have been coming here for many years and they spoke good about this place.
My co-worker and I decided to eat at Black Cat Sports Bar and Grill on 02/14/23, a Tuesday evening. The menu was not overbearing, and they offer a decent selection of food. When we walked in, the place had a cool fun atmosphere. I noticed 5 of the many tables were occupied. I saw a waitress and asked if we can sit anywhere and she said yes. We sat at a booth. There were 3 people servicing this bar dining area as well as another room which had tables. It was a solid 8 minutes before a waiter had come to our table to take our drink order and leave us menus. He brought our drinks and we continued to look at the menu. We decided on our order and waited. And waited. And waited. (not a typo) Finally, he came back and took our order. We first ordered the Steakhouse Potato Skins, to which he informed me that they were out of potatoes, so fried pickles it is. My co-worker ordered the Crusty Turkey Melt with their soup of the day (cheezy tortilla soup) and I ordered the Top your Sirloin steak dinner with waffle fries and a side salad to which I asked for the Oil and Vinegar for dressing. I wanted it topped with mushrooms and guess what, they were out of mushrooms, so Cajun butter it is. I asked for another beer and refill on my water. He was prompt with it. About 10 minutes past and we were 1 of 3 tables with people at them, and the waiter comes with my side salad and said I gave you Italian dressing because we are out of vinegar. He then left after I thanked him. Then it dawned on me that we have not received our fried pickles and I made the comment to my coworker that I hope they don 't come with our dinner as the purpose of an appetizer is to have BEFORE the dinner, but after more time had past and watching the waiter take food to other tables, disappear or flat out stand behind the bar near the kitchen window and not look in our direction, our food comes out, with the fried pickles. That is very disappointing. The waffle fries, standard frozen from a bag, not good but not horrible. The steak, cooked to medium just as I asked. The first few bites were good. The Cajun butter added flavor. After those few bites, I started to notice that the bites were getting saltier. The butter had masked some of the saltiness but it still came through and I thought it was more than average for the steak. Not good. Take away the salt and the steak was fine. I asked my co-worker how she liked her meal and she said the soup was good but salty and she could only eat so much of her sandwich because it was too salty. I paid for our meals, and we left. By this time, it was 9:45 pm, we arrived around 8:15, only had 2 drinks each. The waiter 's time in between visits was unacceptable, especially with how empty the bar was. And if he was bogged down with the 2nd dining room, then he should have asked for assistance from the other 2 waitresses or the bartender. If their niche is over salting food, then you will like this place. I know that we will not be back.
Enjoy going to here for beer and a burger. Staff is great. Burgers are what I get. They do a great job
Exceptional burgers. Not pre-frozen patties. Real hand made patties with ground beef. Bacon on the burger was fantastic. Thick cut, flavorful bacon. Pleasant staff, great atmosphere. The weirdest thing, was people were talking at their tables and nobody had a phone out. It was like traveling 20 years back in time. Great place!
