Bombay Touch - Thornhill

Beware of ordering delivery from this restaurant. Previous experiences have always been rated 5/5, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I placed an online order at 7:19pm with an expected delivery time of 56 minutes. However, after an hour passed at 8:13pm, the online order status changed without receiving the delivery or any contact from the restaurant. We called the restaurant at 8:35pm and were told that the driver was still on the road. After calling again at 9:20pm (they close at 9:30pm), we were once again informed that the driver was still on the road. The delivery finally arrived at 9:30pm, two hours after the original order. The food quality was below our usual expectations, with the salads being warm and the naan bread being cut into small strips. I have included photos of the food for reference. I would like to speak directly with the restaurant about this experience, as we paid a $10 delivery fee and tipped the driver, yet felt that the service did not meet their usual standards.

So close to home and it took us so long to discover it. the design in great, the menu is to reach and appetize, eating it very delicious and the touch is great. it took a little long until the food arrived, but it was worth waiting. btw great value for money

The food was very greasy and the spicing was off. I didn’t taste any ginger in the food. The Aloo Gobi was like mush, I think it was reheated leftovers. The worst was the appetizers, pakora and onion bhaji (sp were almost pure chickpeas, very heavy and seemingly indigestible as golf balls. I would have rated it worst but at least the meat in the dishes was acceptable. I won’t be back.

Terrible service. Waiter was rude. Never once said you’re welcome to any of our thank you’s. Never came to check to see if everything was ok. Had to flag him down for water. Rice was delivered to our table when we were half way done our meal. Food was meh ? I’ve had better. Didn’t get to see a bill before he came over with the machine to pay and when I did pay he just walked away and I was not given a receipt or asked if I wanted one. Will not be going back.

This used to be my favourite Indian place in the area. I came when the restaurant just opened up and been coming regularly since. The food was always great.We went there today and we’re the only table at the restaurant. We were with 2 toddlers and a child and it took an hour for food to arrive. There was no music and general atmosphere was very bleh. I regretted we went there today and don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon. The food is good but service is extremely slow.
