El Tres - Thunder Bay

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I may have used the Spanish word incorrectly, but this restaurant was truly outstanding from the service to the food. Our server, who we recognized from Instagram, was fantastic and even won the best server award in Thunder Bay this year - very cool and well-deserved! He was attentive, friendly, helpful, and provided an excellent tequila recommendation. The food was also excellent - we only had drinks and appetizers but will definitely be returning for a full meal. The branding, overall look, and atmosphere of the restaurant were all fantastic, down to the adorable side panels. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this place!

The food at this restaurant has a fantastic flavor, the service was good, and I enjoyed the Mexican decor. However, I wouldn't consider it authentic Mexican food - it's more of a Tex-Mex fusion. I really loved the chorizo empanadas; they had a good portion size, the right amount of spiciness, and tons of flavor. Someone at my table ordered the Taquitos and the beans were delicious. The Taquitos were moderately spicy, maybe too much for someone not used to spicy food. I was excited to see traditional churros on the menu, but while they were tasty, they weren't quite what I expected from Mexican churros. I also tried the Horchata, which I enjoyed. It's a bit pricey, so be prepared, but overall, it was a good experience.

We had a very unique dining experience at this restaurant. The food and service were exceptional. My wife ordered Tacos and I ordered Enchiladas, both of which were delicious and expertly made. We were thrilled to have found this restaurant. What made our evening even more special was our server, Nicholas (if I remember correctly). He was very friendly, passionate about the dishes, and recommended the food that we thoroughly enjoyed that night. This restaurant comes highly recommended for anyone who appreciates Mexican cuisine!

Fantastic Mexican cuisine 2.800 km from Mexico. Food was perfect, just the right amount of spices, desert was amazing and the server was great. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want a Bland chain food Mexican.

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and staff. Knowing I was also a bartender I was offered a small sample of a future cocktail, will definitely return if in the city.
