Avaliação da contribuiçãoAfter reading the reviews I was looking forward to trying out Lumberjacks however I was extremely disappointed. There is a counter with stools but it isn't accessible due to tables being in the way. Seating is almost non-existent, two tables are pushed up against the counter and one table up against the front counter with a total of six chairs.Truthfully my first thought was "what a dump" and I almost walked back out however I was still trying to think positive after all, the reviews raved about the food. The menu is very limited and the prices were a little on the high side for my liking. We ordered two donairs, one order of fries and one canned pop and it came to over $25.00 with tax. The fries are frozen not fresh and the beef in my donair was tough to say the least. I honestly would not go back.
This place has two parts of their menu-the first is all traditional canadian fare (burgers, fries, poutine etc). and the second part is East Indian (shawarma, falafel, wraps etc.), My boyfriend had the cheese burger and I had chicken shawarma. Both meals were large and tasty and came to $24 after tax. The owner was friendly and hands-on. The only downside is that they close at 4 and have very limited seating.
After reading the Walleye ( local Thunder Bay magazine ) article top ten burgers I thought I have to try the angry Frenchman burger. Poutine on burger how can you go wrong. Big messy tasty burger. Definitely going back.
For a little hole in the wall, the burgers are out of this world. Big, beefy and delicious. Try the Desperado. You'll leave full.
Heart attack on a plate! Huge, greasy portions of spicy, cheesy goodness! Get take out or eat at their one or two tables on the street.
