Cafe De La Gare - TIRANO

Hopped off the Bernina Express for a couple of hours. Cafe de la Gare was nearby and busy. We found an outside table and the friendly staff quickly spotted us. Delicious pizza and wine. We left full and happy.

Smells of cigarette smoke,service off hand, hard to fill 100 words. Hard to fill 100 words. Poor, to somewhere else.

We had a very bad experience here!!! The food also was very mediocre and far to expensive for the quality. The lady serving us was unfriendly and as we asked to pay in swiss francs (we just had a stopover from train for 1.5 hrs) she converted the Eur 22. into 24 Swiss francs and was very angry. Not to mentione that the currency actually is Eur 1. is 0.94 Swiss francs. We had to hurry so we did accept. She even complained more as we asked to pay separate person per person. This is a Tourist trap and we cannot reccomend you to go there. We did feel very badly treated.

Great place to lunch while waiting for the Bernina connection. close to the railway station, fast service and cheap prices. a welcome change of Swiss food and travel.

Very good for coffee and drinks. the food was good.
