Unfortunately, the grilled calamari at Browne's was heavily salted, which overshadowed the tenderness of the seafood and the delicate smokiness. The dish was further overwhelmed by the strong flavors of the aged balsamic and shallot sauce drizzled on top. On a more positive note, the thinly sliced Atlantic salmon was surprisingly moist, thanks to quick grilling that left it perfectly cooked. Unlike the starter, the fish was enjoyable and well-prepared.

One of my top restaurants in the Yonge St Clair area is Browne's Bistro, where they have been serving consistently delicious upscale dishes for years. They typically offer a selection of quality fish and meat specials, along with a decent variety of wines by the glass. The atmosphere exudes a sense of sophisticated tranquility, making it a great choice for both business lunches and romantic date nights. I recently tried the flank steak at this restaurant and it was the best I've ever had! Cooked perfectly pink, it was served with delicious green beans and fries. It was definitely the standout dish on their Summerlicious menu. Although it was my first time dining here, I will definitely be back again. The grilled calamari with salad was also tasty, but could have been more grilled. The Apple crisp dessert was too sweet and gooey for my taste. The service was okay, but the server could have been more attentive as there were a few mix-ups with our orders. Overall, the atmosphere was quiet and perfect for having a dinner conversation.

Delicious Food and great dining environment!. I was looking for a great place to take my girlfriend out for our anniversary and we had a Wonderful evening at Brownes Bistro. A refined elegant atmosphere, the wide selection of Italian and Continental cuisine and professional service was just amazing. We really loved our evening out and Brownes Bistro was a big part of that. Thank you.

Delicious Lunch. Had lunch with 2 customers at Brownes and was very impressed with the service and ambiance at the restaurant that I've driven/walked by many times and didn't notice. They definitely got my attention. Had the steak with frites that was perfect in every way. My customers had salmon and a pasta dish. They loved their meals too. Highly recommend especially for lunch.
