Kiva's Bagel Bakery & Restaurant

The bagels are so fresh,that you may not want it toasted . Where can you find a Excellent Jewish bakery in downtown Toronto these days with a Jewish deli like atmosphere, Friendly service and Great bagels that are One of the best in the city. This is one of my favourite places to eat for breakfast in the morning. But they have all kinds great sandwiches , soups and bakery goods.

I stopped in this morning with a colleague for breakfast. The service was pleasant, the coffee and latte was excellent, it was not at all bitter. I ordered the cheese omelette with an everything bagel. The omelette was excellent, light fluffy and perfectly cooked. The bagel was pretty good, but I must say that I have had better, it was a little dry and did not have that wonderful chewiness that I have had in truly excellent bagels. Anyway, if I am back in the area I would certainly come back.

I’ve breakfast’d and brunch’d here many times. Good simple fare, well priced and well prepared. I would absolutely use Kiva’s to cater sandwiches, lox, cream cheese etc. Served without pretence or trendiness...rather, it’s familiar homey goodness. Excellent eggs, omelettes plain or with interesting fillings, cream cheese, traditional cottage cheese, blintzes. Lots of choices for sandwiches. Don’t miss the fantastic Jewish baked treats available to take away, rugulah, “nothings” and other cookies plus lavash, jams and more on shelves near the entrance. Very fresh bagels. Very good coffee. Very friendly service.

Ben is the best, I have been to other Kivas , this location is the best, he is such a nice and respectful person. If you want to be served as a human being, visit the 15st Clair west location. Thank you again Ben, you rock

We decided to venture beyond our usual breakfast spot and went to Kiva's and now plan to make it our new place for weekend brunches . There is lots of choice for every taste . All plentiful ,well prepared and fresh . The coffee was excellent and the bagels terrific . For those watching carbs there are thin bagels . we both enjoyed fluffy scrambled eggs with onions . What a nice mixture . The bagels are so fresh that toasting is clearly optional .The environment is simple clean and friendly . Service is prompt .I would definitely recommend Kiva .
