Tallboys Craft Beer House - Toronto

Came in for a late night drink with my partner and ended up ordering food because I was so elated to see plant-based options. I had the black bean tacos with fries and both were amazing, I especially liked the hot sauce our server brought over. Although the bar was packed, we were seated at a spacious table within 2 minutes of arriving. The service was a little slow and we would've had another round had our server been faster but it was understandable given how busy it was.

My boyfriend and I were staying at an AirBnB nearby, and had just arrived from Ottawa. The drive was super long, and the only thing my boyfriend had on his mind was BEER haha. We literally just Googled pubs near ____ , and this popped up within walking distances, so we headed down. We really enjoyed our time there! Lots of craft beer, with seasonal stuff included, so I 'm assuming that there is a decent turn-over in options from time to time. The staff were very friendly, and seemed knowledgeable about the beer options. It was late, so we just grabbed a plate of nachos to share, which were tasty and a huge size! It was a great little place to chill, recoupperate, and watch the Jays game!

Tallboys is my favorite go-to spot for tasty, unpretentious food and an awesome selection of Ontario craft beer. Please, do yourself a favor and don't come in and ask for Guiness on tap. Service: the service is always awesome at Tallboys. The owners are there almost everytime we go, working behind the bar, bringing out food. They're super friendly and always want to ensure that you're taken care of. Booze: Tallboys has a pretty comprehensive list of rotating Ontario craft beers, there isn't a single thing you could fault them for with regards to the selection. Food: By this point I've pretty much had everything on the menu and while you can't really go wrong with anything, the burgers are what bring me back. Their burgers are quality and piled high with toppings. I always opt for the side of housemade tortilla chips and homemade pico de gallo which is amazing. Blue Jays: So far we have awesome service, a great and vast beer list and delicious food. Add to the mix some obvious love for our hometown boys, The Blue Jays, and you've got a solid package. For the big games, Tallboys has a huge screen and projector that they use to show the game. Never fear, they also have regular TVs to show regular season games. Tallboys is definitely one of the best bar/pub/restaurant/sports pub in Toronto.

Great little pub with a nice selection of taps and tall cans. One main sports screen and a couple of other tv's for catching your Toronto team(s) while hammering down a couple of pints. But what makes this place awesome are its burgers. I don't know what they do but whatever it is, they can never change it. Hot, fresh, seasoned, tender, just delicious. It's so good I often take one of the patties out and eat it on its own (all burgers come with two patties except for one burger which as a triple patty). And Tuesdays is $3 taco night. Decent fish tacos. But avoid the fried chicken sandwich. It just tastes wrong. Stick with the burgers.

I was very surprised by the quality of the food. I had an outstanding burger and fries. I was shocked at how much I liked it. I expected some pre-made frozen burger warmed up but I had what was a house made beef patty with gourmet toppings. So good. Lots of tall cans of craft beer available which is why i chose this place to start with, this was just as expected.
