Bowside Cafe - Torquay

The service was so appalling. I live in Anglesea and have driven past here a lot and now I know why I keep driving. No manners or smiles. Disappointing

Very disappointed, arrived at 2.45 to be told it was closing and we couldn’t get 2 coffees. (Website says closes at 4, and FB at 3 pm) Not very friendly. Pitty as it is in a lovely spot surrounded in nurseries and gallery’s however they lost our business when cafe let us down.

I have always driven past this place and thought I would stop for lunch. Food was OK, and the service was terrible! A dark haired lady was so incredibly rude I don’t know why she bothered showing for work. There was no one In there and I was extremely nice when entering. Super expensive for the quality of food as well. The Other ladies were really lovely and welcoming. Sorry, but it takes one person to ruin an experience. Recommend towns either side of this cafe.

Wonderful owner and staff. It is always a pleasure to visit. The coffee is great and cakes always freshly made.

Delicious frittata with pea and asparagus. Accompanied by beetroot and pumpkin salad with great coriander dressing. Fantastic homemade vanilla slice. Will return.
