Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy brother had recommended By Brazil so we decided to check it out for our anniversary. They only serve lunch on weekdays and since we went on a Sunday we went for dinner, shortly after they opened at 4PM. Street parking only but because we went early we found a spot very close to the restaurant, and no time limits on Sundays either. The interior was cozy with both outdoor and indoor seating, and we opted for indoor because it was hot outside. There was only one other party when we arrived so despite only one gaucho, meats came very quickly. The restaurant filled up more as our meal progressed. There was a large variety of meats cooked in small batches, and the only meat repeated without request was picanha. Everything was very tasty, both the meats and the salad bar hot food bar. I loved that they had beef stroganoff (although missing the crispy potato sticks topping) and plantains instead of banana. Pão de queijo was self-serve at the hot food area and good as always. I tried cashew fruit juice asy drink which was really unique! Service was friendly and dinner was $45/person tax as of August 2024, not bad. The meal concluded with roasted pineapple and complimentary coffee. Overall, I was missing polenta and wished the pickled onions were more sour (or that there was vinegar available), but otherwise was content. I would definitely return for the price and variety, even if the salad bar and interior is not as fancy as the chains like Fogo de Chão.
Great local Brazilian restaurant to go and have some great food. The food was fresh, the customer service was great, and the ambiance was nice. Casual and low key place that met my expectations. Street parking only. Definitely will come back in the future.
At this small mom and pop restaurant, you will discover the best authentic Brazilian churrascaria experience in the South Bay. Anna and her staff extend a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While Fogo de Chao may offer more selection and a better salad bar, they don't have Israel, the grill master extraordinaire! Israel is possibly the best gaucho in Los Angeles! The meats here are cooked to perfection each cut well seasoned and bursting with flavor. And what sets them apart? They use charcoal grilling, unlike other churrascarias in the area that rely on gas grills. The difference in flavor is unmistakable! Our personal favorite? The picanha, lightly salted and cooked to a juicy medium rare. The spicy beef and garlic beef are equally outstanding. And let's not forget the tender pork and beef ribs they're simply wonderful! The restaurant also features a salad bar offering fresh leafy greens, fruits, and an array of sides including their delicious Feijoada, their yummy beef stroganoff, rice, beans, salad, heart of palm, vinaigrette, plantains, and pão de queijo. And as the prefect finale, the grilled pineapple with a sprinkle of cinnamon it's the ideal way to cap off your meal!
By Brazil restaurant was a stressful dining experience from the moment we walked in. I have been contemplating on writing this post for months because we did our very best to enjoy what was our very first Brazilian restaurant experience. My walk in experience: From the moment entered my family experienced subtle racial treatment looked down upon for not correctly speaking the English language with a simple question and just starred upon at with no help or solution. No one to greet us just stared at us almost looked shocked at starring at a Latin Hispanic family. We had no welcome so we walked in and sat down at a table of our choice. Since this was our first time experience we Walked in joyfully ambiance to an empty restaurant. I wasn 't sure if anyone would greet us or seat us or if it was even proper to help ourselves I didn 't know this place. I never imagined my family experience to ever feeling subtle racism or to feel very looked down upon. It was super uncomfortable tension The tension from the only employee in sight was one of no words needed to feel what we felt. We moved a table a little closer to us to sit comfortably. She ran to us saying You can 't do this and walked away. We felt so bad. Very embarrassed. So we stood up and moved felt shamed. She said sit there and there was no light above it was a dark corner outdoors so we asked if the light above can be turned on. More tension from employee. She quickly came and would run off. We couldn 't even ask a question. We decided that was not a place for us so we asked if we could move inside and thankfully a manager possibly an owner stepped in magically appeared in to greet us and give us instruction to help ourselves. Never saw her again. Our chef gaúcho he was so sweet, it was he who made our evening and helped us feel something nice very kindly serving us. Making conversation with us. It is because of him that this review gets stars. He deserves 5 stars but this place doesn 't. This restaurant ambiance and branding is to be what i would say an upscale without the elegance. The look is to be a trendy place. It 's very casual dining atmosphere. Food was delicious because of our gaucho chef. Service was not. Never have I or my guests felt so looked down upon with so much tension yet we sucked it up to try to make the most of our time together. This day was a very hot summer evening restaurant had no air conditioning. For the price it 's not worth it. Plus, No parking. Only street parking, in a not so safe location. Very disappointed. Very deeply hurt. Only 2 employees in sight. Very bittersweet. I just can 't imagine this to be a family joyful place. Plus ambiance: nothing it 's had no soft background music. It was not special. I don 't even know why this location asks for reservations.
I love this place, excellent food and good price. Prime picanha steakhouse of very good quality and excellent service I highly recommend it
