Old Abe's Supper Club - Town of Anson

It's been years since we were here due to having young kids. Had to wait 30 mins so should be good. Service was alright when we saw her but had to go find someone to get our bill. Kids food portions are the same size if not bigger then the adults which was crazy. I had fried cod that once you bit into it you had to wait for the water to drain out. That came with 2 pieces of fish. My wife had the broiled cod. I should has asked where the rest of her food was. She received 1 piece of fish. My wife doesn't normally finish a meal completely due to being full. Her plate was wiped clean and still hungry. I ended up going back for seconds at salad bar due to needing more food. One child corn dog had to peel the batter off as that was hard and burnt. Other kids cheese burger was so so according to him. I overheard another table ask a waitress if the food portions have gotten smaller because they didn't have much fish also. On the plus the old fashioned was good. Maybe it was bad Friday night for them. If i had to do it again, unfortunately, I would find a culvers or any other place in town. Kid-friendliness: It was loud when you walk in. Think due to the age of the people there at the bar. We had to wait outside with kids.

Went in with 4 people table for 6-8 open wouldn’t let us sit there …. Table open in the bar wouldn’t let us sit there … terrible hostess old and crabby Won’t ever be back

Good food! Steaks were cooked evenly and delicious. My shrimp was great also. We love the salad bar option for the kids menu. The food is always consistently great and our waitress was friendly and informative. We didn't drink but the after dinner drinks looked very tasty.

Best. Fish. Ever. So good. Drinks well made, service good. Reasonable prices. Would go back for sure!

Brunch was delicious, staff was helpful, They found my diamond earring that I lost and saved it for me!
