Zeek - Townsville

The former Zeeks is now the Figtree Cafe. The new owners are putting in effort, but the food quality just doesn't compare to what it used to be.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and there were only 2 other tables occupied. Unfortunately, the food took over an hour to arrive and I had to remind the staff twice that I had been waiting. The eggs were undercooked and appeared to be dirty. The bacon was tough and chewy, and the toast was extremely stale, falling apart when touched. Despite all of this, I was hungry so I finished my meal. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have cancelled my order.

My husband was disappointed with only receiving one piece of toast with his big breakfast. My omelette was neglected in the pan, with small dry, overcooked brown bits inside. My friend's speck was well prepared but paler than mine, so we switched. The coffee was not the best, even for the city.

Eating was amazing and service was great, although it was a little busy.

Very accomodating. Breakfast food was very tasty beautifully presented no halumi : Service was top.
