Black Bear Diner - Tracy

Started making this a weekly breakfast routine. Stays pretty busy but service is fast and the employees have always been very friendly, with excellent customer service. I will caution you however that the spicy version of their sausage patty is in fact very spicy. Caught me off guard. I'm a Cajun and love my spicy foods but I don't believe I have had a spicier sausage patty anywhere else. May have been that particular batch and it's normally not quite as hot but on that day it was pretty damn hot. Tasty though!

First time there and the food was excellent! Had the chicken fried steak, only problem it was just too much food, you won’t leave there still hungry.

We arrived around 9:00 AM and were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait, were seated in 3 minutes, ordered our Breakfast and were on our way by 9:30. The food was cooked just right and plenty of it. I think they had as much help as they had customers but all were friendly and competent moving constantly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Taco salad was great. The salsa a bit spicy not for me but others at our table. My niece ordered the chicken pesto sandwich it looked good. Portions are huge and good prices!
