Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat hotel with amazing traditional bar and restaurant. Food is really high quality home cooked food with fabulous service. Rooms are clean and tidy however the building works make the hotel feel a bit grotty. (Maybe could have done this in stages rather than have all the materials for the works in the corridors where customers are walking). Over all a fabulous hotel which will be outstanding once the building has all its windows back in and not boarded up and building work completed
I have visited the hotel many times over the last 15 years for food and drinks, never as a guest. An historical building of the town with a classic Irish bar and restaurant/cafe. Attentive and professional staff, who cook and serve quality meals daily. My favourite is the Seafood Chowder with soda bread on the side. A beautiful thick creamy sauce and fresh seafood made fresh when ordered. Great for a quick lunch or an evening meal with friends or family.
From the comfortable surroundings of the executive suite we had an amazing time. Roomy bathroom and a giant king size bed. The hotel staff are so kind and thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The owner Mr Dick Boyle can be found among his guests ensuring that they are having a pleasant stay and I've seen him helping out and carrying guests luggage if they need a hand. The food in the restaurant and bar area is of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. There is also a lunch restaurant that serves the most amazing food, their homemade brown bread is superb and I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a loaf of it to take home with me. I would have loved to stay longer.
In the middle of renovating when I visited. I Look forward to returning when completed.
Lovely hotel, comfortable room, nice bar restaurant with great food, perfect location in town centre. Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
