Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy husband and I recently had dinner at the Yokel Inn on a Wednesday evening, which happens to be their fried chicken special night. I had heard great things about the food here and we were not disappointed! The restaurant has been renovated since a recent fire, and the atmosphere is now nicely done, especially for a tavern. It was also very clean. The special included fried chicken (available in 1/2 or 1/4 portions), a choice of baked potato or fries, coleslaw, and a corn fritter. The chicken was lightly coated, moist, and delicious without being greasy. The baked potato was standard, but the creamy coleslaw was fresh and tasty. The corn fritter was a standout - crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside. I could have eaten more than one! Art, the owner, checked on us several times throughout the meal. Although our food took a bit longer to arrive, he apologized and it wasn't a significant wait. Our bill was very reasonable, especially considering we both had the 1/2 chicken and some drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food and pleasant atmosphere.
My wife and I went to this restaurant with another couple. The place recently had a fire, so everything inside has been remodeled. There is a big bar area with a couple of large flat screens. We ordered a pizza called T Works, which had a thin crust with generous toppings and good flavor. The other couple enjoyed their fish sandwich tenderloin, which came with fries. We also shared an appetizer combo of onion rings, potato skins, and mushrooms. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.
This restaurant has a great bar with a good atmosphere! The service was excellent and the dinner specials are unbeatable.
