We have only had take out in the past but tonight we dined in! Our waiter, Josh, and all others were very patient with our family. We have autistic twins and they struggle with new places but they were able to work on being calm due to the patience of the staff and quiet atmosphere. A lot of places are full of loud music and TVs. There was only one TV with volume down. It's so nice to be able to help them learn to accept new things and eat out as a family and it's hard to find places this easy to go to. Thank you all so much! I had the 1/2 Brisket Salad and it never disappoints! Our twins had a foot long hotdog and cheeseburgers. Then my husband had a pulled pork sandwich and we also got the fried cheese bites and fried pickles.
The brisket sandwich was delicious and lots of it.. Fried okra, cole slaw and baked beans all were great. Service was very quick for a walk in and folks were super friendly. Great, little place.
We live over hour away eat here all the time well worth the drive. The staff is always friendly and the food is the best I have ever had.The price is great and you get a lot of food highly recommend.
Traveling through and stopped by Thatchers. Dade-Trenton is fortunate to have this gem. Great experience. Inside is updated with clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely worth the stop. Started with the Pig Pen (fried green tomatoes which were perfectly done with excellent sauce) The Man of Smoke (brisket sandwhich) was amazing. One of our group had a Ruben, loved it. Our teen loved their regular cheeseburger, commented how good it was. Another had one of their loaded spuds which was huge and tasty. Chicken was a hit as well. Thatchers tables have three bottles of their sauces which you have to try. Each one was truly great in it 's own way. Judging by the rubbed off label on our bottle of the Sweet and Savory, it is the local favorite. But the spicey is equally great, mix it in with the savory if need to tone it down. Do not miss the Mustard Gold, especially if you get onion rings. Price is more than reasonable for a sit down restaurant with great food and service. We would definitely stop here again, highly recommended. Please heart this review if helpful!
