The first thing to notice are the colors. outside and inside it is warm in the bakery krachenfels. children will find a corner that is specially made for them, which means that if they are on the move with them, this can be an urgently needed stop to give their thoughts something else they can concentrate on, as a window bumblebee for sights and complain about the length of the journey. the device is also comfortable for adults who want to lean back and use the provided wlan to check cards, reservations and plans or to confirm their way forward. the personal does not understand much English, but can not be dismissed from someone who speaks in imperfect German. they are resurrected girls from the neighborhood that seem to know their masters well, awaken in a sister manner over local Munchkin customers and welcome all the arrivals with a punctual but sincere hallo. they heat their selected sandwiches in the Panini press (on press, please) and offer them cheerful roasted coffees to complement the sweets they find behind the glass. as with most German sweets, however, they are not intended to overwhelm their taste buds with a flash sugar high. they will rather tempt them to notice the delicate balance that the chef tried to produce between sweet and selected fruits or seasonings, which will certainly be included somewhere in the name.
I wish I had not entered: the coffee is terrible (the worst I had here in Germany) cakes are ok, but I expected a bakery something better ... and don't expect the waitress to speak English, I almost believed, she doesn't speak German anymore!
This was a nice place to stop after our hike to the waterfalls for caffe and cake. the playground is beautiful for the little ones. it was clean and the cakes were very good.
Triberg is the location of the highest waterfall in Germany. in summer the place is probably full, but when we visited it in December, most accesses were closed due to the rising on light surfaces. So instead we went to coffee and kitchen. the cafe konditorei adler was situated on the main road almost opposite the rathaus. there are a few steps to the pastry counter with delicious cakes and torts and the caffe is through a door. it was quite large with comfortable chairs, carpeted floor, room plants and views of the street. in the summer the windows would be open and the road would live. it was a nice place to look over.
