We 've been going to PJs for years. The food has always been good the setting is unbeatable. But, we will no longer be patrons of PJs due to their 22% MANDATORY tip policy. This is nuts! In case you 've forgotten (as much of the service industry has) a) tips are optional based on the service delivered, b) 15% is ok/good service, 18% is very good, 20% is excellent. So, no matter how your staff performs you 're treating them to an off-the-charts, beyond excellent tip. This is not ok I hope others will skip PJs for this ridiculous greedy policy. Makes me so sad as PJs/Tahoe Mountain Club used to be a great entity when it wasn 't run by Paradigm.
Update from September 2022. Giving PJ’s another chance was a mistake. Food is worse than ever. I’ve never had polenta so bad, runny Server admitted that the bacon my wife added to her salad was old and should have been thrown out. Last straw. Never again and I love 2 minutes away.
Great place, good food and drinks... friendly place overlooking the golf course !
We had our wedding at pjs a little over a week ago now and I can’t say enough about how incredible the staff and coordinator there are. The event flowed so effortlessly and smoothly and the staff was incredibly friendly. No one ever waited in a long bar line (they had 3 bartenders for our event of a little over 100 guests) and more than enough wait staff to get the plated meal out to everyone in a very timely manner. And the food…. The chef is amazing and our surf and turf dinner was curated perfectly. Still dreaming about this awesome day and so grateful to all of the people who made it happen.
