Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy husband and I have been doing business with Pei Wei for many years. We order from Pei Wei (Broadway, store number 0030) for most of our catering events, which is weekly. We have never seen more professionalism than when we work with Amber and Josh. Their knowledge and expertise is beyond superior! The end result is the customer is happy.
This place used to be nice. Then they stopped accepting smart pay from your phone. They were one of first in area to have Coke Freestyle machines. Also gone. They use the fatty skin and scraps for all the chicken dishes except their orange chicken which you get like 5 nuggets of chicken. The restaurant is beat up. Hasn?t been touched up or remodeled in over a decade. Used to really like this place.
We are regulars at Pei Wei, so we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Amber, as always. Our takeout order was prepared quickly and was delicious when we picked it up. We also observed the visiting manager expressing gratitude to all of her staff and wishing them a good evening. The manager even offered us a cup of water for our journey home. We will definitely be returning soon!
Tonight's meal was less than good. The Miso salad had 1 1/2 tomato and bruised lettuce. The teriyaki tofu and vegetables was missing the peppers but was loaded with pea pods. There were at least 3 different sizes of carrots from thin and small rounds to thick 1/2 dollar size chunks. The worst part about the tofu and vegetables dish ordered for a vegetarian was the chunk of chicken in the dish. The Mongolian beef, ordered with no scallions, had scallions but had a note on the lid that they held the cilantro cilantro isn't listed as an ingredient...? To top it all off, the lids on the sauces were put on the wrong containers. UPDATE This meal was ordered on 5/23 and cost just over $29 today 6/4 I received a standard form apology and a $5 gift card. I'm my opinion, for the amount we paid and the number and seriousness of the problems, I'm not satisfied with their response and recovery.
The restaurant offers free delivery on orders over $20 on their website. I placed an order totaling $31.86, but was surprised to see a charge of $6.24 for taxes and fees. The tax amount is $2.77, leaving $3.47 for fees - so much for "free" delivery. One of my dishes had the wrong rice, which wasn't a big issue. However, the food was excessively oily and lacked spice, particularly the drunken noodles. I contacted them to express my dissatisfaction, but their response seemed indifferent. Don't expect too much from this place.
