Avaliação da contribuiçãoSince the pandemic, we’ve made it a point of ordering out once a week to support local restaurants, and this is hands-down the best take-out we‘ve had the pleasure of eating in the Pioneer Valley. Delicious flavous, creative combinations incorporating local ingredients, and fabulous deserts. With a vegarian in the family, their a selection of meatless options was a nice bonus for us.
Very cool spot in a not so cool town. Sorry couldn’t resist.
My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner after a long meandering Sunday drive. We’d both been to Turners Falls before, but wanted to try something new. A quick internet search brought up Five Eyed Fox. With 5 stars, we were hopeful and it did not disappoint. This is a TINY place, with only a handful of tables and a dozen or so seats at the bar. The decor was casual yet cozy: exposed brick walls, window seats with pillows, and open shelving with drinking glasses, takeout containers, condiments, etc. Another party of diners even had their (very large dog asleep on the floor under their table. The staff was incredibly friendly. The service felt very personal, starting with the glass bottles of tap water brought to each table. While the menu is small but mighty, with typical cafe fare (sandwiches, pasta, etc. , the food is anything but typical. My french dip sandwich was served on a house-made baguette (arguably the best baguette I’ve ever consumed! The roast beef was tender and flavorful. The perfectly melted jarslberg was equal parts nutty and creamy. The horseradish aioli added an acidic kick. It was exceptionally well done. My boyfriend’s burger with an egg was equally delicious and perfectly cooked. The included side salad of mixed greens with a house vinaigrette was a nice accompaniment. Two points that might not go over well with everyone: First, by 6:30pm (when we arrived they were out of a few items (which was more impactful because the menu is already a bit limited . We didn’t mind, as it helped us narrow down our choices. Additionally, service was not quick. Our orders were taken and drinks delivered almost immediately, but it took a while for our food, likely because the restaurant was full and everything is made to order. Again, after we tasted the quality of the food, the wait became irrelevant. Totally worth it. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!
O-M-G!!! The food is always simply spectacular, the drinks are always so so impressive and the atmosphere is always relaxing! And let 's not forget the very talented staff!! I could eat and drink here every day and be so happy, I can 't say enough about the goodness of the Five Eyed Fox.
First time experiencing the wonders of the Fox, had an incredible time enjoying some well prepared food. Loved every bit of it, from decor, presentation, incredible food and the lovely waitstaff (thanks erin) would recommend to anybody and everyone!
