I had never been here before, but the chicken tenders were fantastic, especially paired with the coleslaw. I tried the hot powder seasoning, and it was definitely spicy, but I really enjoyed it. It's a wonderful place with great people! Thank you once again!
Great chicken spot in Highland Park! I highly recommend the chicken tenders—they're hefty and delicious. The restaurant also has a range of spice levels that enhance the signature sauce and breading. The sides, including fries, mac and cheese, and coleslaw, are right on point too.
As for the Texas Toast, it was essentially a thick slice of dry toast without any oil or butter spread on it. That’s not true Texas toast; it’s just toast. The coleslaw was just okay, and while the sauce was decent, other chicken chains, like Chick-fil-A and Cane’s, have better options. Honestly, the fries were the highlight of the meal. If I were to compare this meal directly with Cane’s, they would win hands down when it comes to coleslaw, Texas toast, sauce, and price. When it comes to Nashville chicken, Revival is definitely a better choice. Nashville Coop has a solid concept that just doesn’t hit the mark as well as it could. It’s decent, but not exceptional. Another odd aspect was the clutter in the dining area. There were many items stored out in the open—takeaway boxes, soda bottles, a glass display case, and boxes of paper towels—all of which contributed to a messy atmosphere. Some restaurants, like Five Guys, manage to have a compact space without feeling cluttered because everything is organized neatly. At Nashville Coop, however, things felt jumbled, with big boxes stacked on top of smaller ones, lacking any sense of intentional arrangement.
I would be hard-pressed to find a better fried chicken sandwich than the one at Nashville Coop. The juicy white meat chicken is coated generously with seasoning and boasts a crispy skin. This place really knows how to bring the heat—you can even choose your spice level for the mac and cheese. They cater to all spice preferences, from mild to extra spicy. The menu is straightforward yet offers plenty of options to customize your desired heat level! Nashville Coop perfectly balances flavor and a kick in their fried chicken, all while serving generous portions at an affordable price.
