Boquerone - Uppsala

This Spanish tapas bar/restaurant offers delicious food and excellent wine in a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The wait time was reasonable, no more than 10 minutes. A fantastic place to dine!

The service was awful and the portions were disappointingly small, with some dishes not cooked properly. The pleasant ambiance and complimentary drinks saved it from receiving a lower rating, but I will be avoiding this restaurant for a while.

Noisy The service was slow (due to short on staff during our visit) and unengaged (a guy more interested in what seemed to be his friends no explanation of the food) Most of the food didn't have any remarkable flavours. Many fried dishes My 3 favourites were gambas pil-pil, croquetas and mejillones. The bottom one is rib eye steak. Of note, the sangria is not worth the price. Small jug mostly filled with ice.

I visited this restaurant twice and it was fantastic both times. The staff was really friendly, although the wait was a bit longer than expected. It was definitely worth it! It's hard to believe that I was at the same restaurant as the last two negative reviews that were posted 45 minutes ago.
