I was stunned at how bad the food was. Our $37 mozzarella En carozza was awful, cold and dry, tastes like it was cooked under a heat lamp. The pasta did not taste fresh and the sauce was comparable to store bought jar sauce. Biggest let down of a restaurant experience I’ve ever experience. This cannot be the quality of the food served in Florence’s Osteria delle Tre Panche and I’m surprised they allowed their name to be used. I could see the disappointment and confusing on fellow diners faces.
The only thing special about the dishes were the extra truffle on everything. The pasta’s were plain and were not tasty. Id rather would’ve eaten only truffle
A lot of good quality black truffle. The pasta is so tasty with black truffle on top. Good wine as well. Very special experience.
We Had reservations w notification of our this being our anniversary. When being seated we walked past several booths set for two into an overly packed room with smaller tables for two. When I asked if we could have a booth or be seated in a different room I was told by the hostess that the booths were only for large parties. I mentioned that the booths were all set for two and she then turned to me and said, “The booths are for our special guests.” I was stunned silent. We were finally seated in the bar area. I will say that our waiter was attentive and kind. As someone who travels and knows fine dining the food was mediocre to less than expected. If not for the wait staff being so polite I would have been super upset about spending such an important evening at Bistro Leo.
