Avaliação da contribuiçãoWhile strolling down Hastings Street, I noticed that I pass by Bai Bua Thai almost every day on my way to school, so I decided it was finally time to check it out. Since we arrived during lunchtime, we received complimentary soup and prawn chips with our meal. The chips were quite crispy, but unfortunately, they lacked a strong shrimp flavor and instead tasted more like the oil they were fried in. As for the soup, it was primarily just a broth that was heavy on MSG.
The Thai food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty! Although the portion sizes could be a little bigger, the flavors and presentation are outstanding—definitely a 10/10! I'm also a huge fan of their chili oil!
The green curry had a hint of sweetness, and the fried rice could have benefited from a bit more salt. I would give it a 4.5 rating, but since that's not possible, I'll round up to a 5 instead of giving it a 4.
I've been wanting to share this review for a while now, and as the saying goes, better late than never! Bai Bui Thai has become my favorite spot for Thai food in Vancouver. It's not only very affordable, but the food is also incredibly tasty—and the icing on the cake is that they don't use any MSG! My go-to dish is the Sukho Thai noodle soup, which is zesty, spicy, and absolutely delightful. However, on this visit, I opted for something new and tried the Tom Yum noodle soup instead.
Bai Bua Thai is an excellent Thai restaurant with something for everyone. This family-run establishment specializes in Bangkok street food, offering freshly prepared, uncomplicated, and quick dishes!
