Avaliação da contribuiçãoI've visited twice for lunch and it was very quiet on both occasions. I very much enjoyed the food, wine and service. The menu is a bit limited, so although I will definitely return, I won't visit too often.
Was here last week for dinner with two others. Two of us had the steak special and one had the lamb and all were fantastic. The dulche de leche creme brulee was also very good!! Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere is nice. Service was also good. Will definitely be back.
Very Good Food but noisy Took my wife and daughter for their birthdays. We were served promptly but overall, Slow Service, somewhat short staffed. However, The food was good and we would go back.
The food was undercooked and cold when served, which seems like an impossibility. The servers had no knowledge of the wine list and I found the atmosphere to be kind of like someones remodeled house, in 1987. It seems that plenty of corners are being cut here and you can tell that the staff are run haggard. The owner was present and he seemed to be berating his staff constantly, which only led to reduced service. I will not be returning. There are plenty of French restaurants in Vancouver that provide far superior value for the price charged here.
We thought we would try this out for brunch one Sunday in the old Province location on W. 10th. The room is quiet and attractive and we were seated promptly. There was a lot to choose from on the brunch menu. Four friends, four different decisions! The bacon and eggs was excellent, my friend's omelette disappeared very quickly before we could beg a taste and declared very good, the panini was nice with a salad but the proscuitto made it a trifle salty, but my traditional benny was excellent indeed. A nice touch is the milk/cream and sugar is in nice china dishes instead of the pile of plastic ones you normally get heaped on the table (and the sugar in frustrating little packages). The service was friendly and attentive and the room fairly quiet as it has carpet. Thankfully there was no loud music playing in the background (one of my pet peeves) so we could chat and have a thoroughly enjoyable time. It's obviously been 'discovered' by locals already as it was filling up when we left. The prices are very reasonable as well for the quality of food. We definitely plan to return again...soon!
