Avaliação da contribuiçãoHard to find sushi restaurants that use organic brown rice and vegetables. You will find it at Shi Zen Ya. I went to the location on Broadway. We ordered dynamite roll with organic avocado. It was delicious! Next we had Sakura Blossom roll with real crab meat, spicy albacore tuna with wild sockeye salmon on top. This tasted so fresh and feeling good knowing the ingredients are organic and local. Lastly we had vegetable tempura with whole wheat. It was really good and tasted really close normal tempura with white flour. Here's to healthy food that can also be delicious! The service was outstanding with attentive staff ensuring tea cup was filled and checking in on us.
Honestly the best and most fresh food ever! Try the tofu and avocado salad!!! Friendly service.
Ordered from DoorDash but am not sure if it was from this location because there's no address on it. We ordered and the food was prepared and delivered quickly. Brown rice helps with digestion as white sushi rice sometimes causes bloating for us so we wanted something that wouldn't make us remorseful after the meal and this was it. There's only a few places in town that do brown rice. california roll was ok. We wouldn't order it again. The lettuce was too thick and made it extra difficult to chew through. the dragon roll with cream cheese was SO good. It's like a philly roll but with avocado, unagi and and and. We'd order this again in a heart beat. the spicy tuna was also delicious the sashimi trio (salmon, tuna and toro) was really good and fresh. We liked the alfalfa sprouts as decoration because that was also tasty the tempura batter was also nice and crunchy even though we had it delivered which was shocking. My only complaint is I don't like red yams/sweet potatoes and prefer the yellow ones for tempura because the fiber or something holds up better. The orange ones they use were soooo mushy and unappetizing to us my partner said the agedashi tofu was a firm no and wouldn't get it again the edamame was pricy but the portion size was large enough to make it ok and it was delicious negitoro roll was also delicious. Fantastic meal. Definitely much smaller menu than most sushi places but it gave us the sushi fix we were looking for.
Love love love. Everything was perfect. Very Japanese way of eating sushi, obviously they make their gyoza in house which is great. This place should have 5 stars.
Prefer downtown Shizenya location. Went for a a quick lunch yesterday, ordered udon sushi combo. The sushi rice was very dry and hard, thinnest pieces of fish inside. It was a struggle to eat udon soup from a tiny bowl, server brought the soup holding it with all her fingers around the rim of the plate with, so that I wasn't able to drink the soup and struggled with a flat wooden spoon. Wooden cutlery is not the best choice for the restaurant: Had issues with the quality of food from this location ordering online.
