I was unsure about what vegan options to choose, but a helpful English-speaking staff member assisted me in selecting the vegan dishes available. I ended up trying a variety of items and everything was incredibly tasty. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Okay, this may not be your typical restaurant, but it definitely deserves special recognition! This place is truly the best sweet shop in all of India. They only use high-quality, natural ingredients (no silver leaves) and offer a wide variety of delicious sweets. I'm not usually a fan of sweets, but whenever I'm in Benares, I make sure to visit Ksheer Sagar almost every day! Some of my favorite items include Ras Malai, Sweet Curd, Kheer Kadam, Cheena Payas, Ras Gola, Kheer Chamcham, Baikunth Bhog, and many other tasty treats. Their samosas are also exceptional, and I rarely eat samosas anywhere else because I know they won't compare.
Ok, this may not be considered a traditional restaurant, but it definitely deserves special recognition! Ksheer Sagar in Varanasi is without a doubt the best sweet shop in all of India. They use only high-quality, natural ingredients (no silver leaves) and offer a wide variety of delicious sweets. I'm not typically a big fan of sweets, but whenever I'm in Varanasi, I always find myself stopping by Ksheer Sagar almost daily! Some of my favorite items include the sublime ras malai, sweet curd, kheer kadam, cheena payas, ras gola, kheer chamcham, baikunth bhog, and more. Their samosas are also a standout, and the only ones I'll eat because I know they're just that good.
