Diner on Six - Vernon

There is usually a line-up but don't let that scare you, the service is extremely quick. You order and pay first, then wait for your table. By the time you get your table, your breakfast is served within a few minutes. Don't forget to tip! Servers were consistently cheerful when we were there.

We've been going to Vernon every July for 20 years and came here for the first time. A friend told us there was a place up the road that serves breakfast, so we decided to try it. We normally would hit a Denny's or pantry, white spot etc. But this place is way better. The service was excellent. The staff is super organized and friendly. The place is a well oiled machine. You line up, order off the menu board, pay, they give you your coffee/juice/chocolate milk before you get seated, eat and walk out when you're done. It was the best breakfast experience we've had. We came with a group of 5 from our ball team. We'll be going there from now on.

We can't add much to the other 5 Star reviews. Great menu, food and service. Visiting from Arizona, we went to Trip Advisor and narrowed our restaurant decision for Sunday breakfast to two. A flip of a coin placed us at... the other one. Menu choices, and the greeting we didn't receive sent us out the door, down the street and to Diner on Six. It was packed, but so efficiently run that we were seated with our orders tsken in 5 minutes. And... when we returned a week later, once again to a full house, the very first comment we received was, "did you enjoy the optional mushrooms on your spinach and tomato benedict last week?" Amazing!

We have been here several times. You order at the front counter, pay first, they seat you, then they bring it to you, you eat, then you leave; it's efficient! There is often a long line up but it moves very quickly; the turnover is very high. We see the same experienced and friendly servers every time we go. Every meal (always breakfast) is excellent, and the eggs Benedict was the best I have ever had; I will reorder this next time we stop here.

If you remember "Cheers" where everyone remembers your name, this is the restaurant equivalent.Denise, Bill and Yvette always have the brightest smile when you walk in the front door. The coffee is always at your table before you get there and the atmosphere of this family owned and run business is truly uplifting.The food is good and breakfast is available all day. They do close at 2 pm though. There is a full menu and Bill doesn't skimp on the extras.Just by looking around you know this is a locals favourite because it, the restaurant, is always busy.If you want a good home cooked meal at a competitive price in a friendly atmosphere, this is "The" place to be.
