Original Joe's - Vernon

We ordered our food together, but my friend received his pork dish after 25 minutes while I had to wait an additional 5 minutes for my burger. Unfortunately, my fries were cold and my Caesar salad had no dressing. The burger was very hot, though. The service was awful as we were charged $5.00, there was no soap in the restroom, and the restaurant was empty.

Upon arriving at Original Joe's 90 minutes before our movie at a nearby cinema, I had high hopes for a cozy meal before the show. However, I was sorely mistaken. It took an hour to get a plate of chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and buffalo chicken wings delivered to our table. This delay forced my family to rush through our meal in order to make it to our movie on time. My chicken tenders were overcrowded and burnt, making them inedible. When I informed our server and asked for a new order, she said it would take 10 minutes. I explained that we couldn't wait that long due to our movie plans. She apologized, removed the burnt chicken from our table, and took it off our bill. After nibbling on some fries from my son's plate, we left and made it to the cinema just in time. Ultimately, I enjoyed my popcorn more than the disappointing meal I had at Original Joe's.

I was a little let down that we didn't receive any silverware or napkins, and my husband didn't get the Coleslaw we had ordered. However, the food was tasty.

My beer smells and tasty, server didn't replace it. Bartender sat and wasn't friendly at all. Server still loaded me for the rotten beer. Totally terrible experience. Don't go there.

We taste all the chicken wings in and around Vernon annually. Soft and juice get a 5 star. Dry and hard get 1 star. Hot and warm given 5 stars. Cold overcooked gets 1 star. Plump and well seasoned get 5 stars. Small portions, mainly...wing ends get 1 star. We had heard that wings had improved so went to try out on the patio. Not busy at all, neat, clean good service. First, a blond beer which was not cold. Wings came and were tasted, rated as 1 star at best. Reordered 2 new batches. These we rated as 1 star at best again. Were going to order a third batch but no. If you like hard/dry/cooled these are for you. We will pass on wings here. Price of drinks and food very expensive for an average restaurant. Cheers and happy dining.
