We stopped here for an early dinner only upon noticing their billboards with the great food photo. We were surprised at how quiet it was. Yes, it was off the beach, but the food and ambiance more than made up for the location. Our group...of were quickly served some great botanas fresh scampi in the shells, frijolitos, etc. The drinks were served quickly and were exactly what we needed after the long drive from Villahermosa! The wine was appropriately chilled! Every one ordered something different, albeit with shrimp, and every dish was hot and wonderful tasting shrimp ceviche, pasta with shrimp, etc. The menu is quite varied. The bill was efficiently handled and we were on our way in good time. Don't stop along the beach before coming to Champoton...GO to Coco Paraiso and you will never go anywhere else! What a great place and great staff!!!!! While there say hello to Antonio Cruz, the gerente. Did I mention that they also have rooms?
