Chakara Sushi Bar Restaurant

Used to love going here but the last few times the service was poor and the food really wasn’t good. Warm sushi was my final straw, I won’t be back any time soon.

I honestly considered writing a poor review for this place, just so I could keep it less busy for myself, but i'd be doing Chakara a great injustice! The food and service here are absolutely phenomenal! Prices are very reasonable and well worth the product! This restaurant is visually unassuming from the outside, and if you enter while not busy, it is pretty unassuming from the inside. DON'T BE FOOLED!!! This is one of, if not the best sushi/ japenese/ mixed Asian cuisine restaurants I have ever been to! It's truly a hidden gem. It is a perfect place for family, friends, and date night. Sitting at the bar and being served by Andy is always a great time! We are still working our way through the menu but have yet to try something that wasn't extremely well prepared, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious!

The sashimi entree had 16 pieces for $29. Ordinarily a great value, but they were the most thinly sliced I’ve ever seen. The sushi rice recipe was spot on and glad that was included along with miso soup.

I forgot something in the restaurant and our server ran out in the cold to give it to me before we left. Super sweet staff. The food is incredible. :

Some of the best sushi and food in the Rochester area for sure. Always so fresh, beautifully prepared and amazing every time. 100 percent recommend, it’ll become a favorite!
