That is an unprofessional treatment. As it happened to me, I tell it. Instead of protesting a customer's opinion, the least you should do is apologize. I can understand that it could have been a specific moment, but it happened. I have eaten more than once and the treatment has been as expected. The employees are attentive. Of course you will not agree with me. I don't know what it has to do with the fact that the boss is on vacation to give an opinion on a relevant fact and being on vacation does not exempt him from his fault.
