Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis great food truck with vegan/vegetarian offers is located near Volcano National Park. We wish we found it at the beginning of our journey and not at the end. We ordered the summer rolls, pumpkin curry and pad kee mao with tofu. We ate the summer rolls before we made pictures. They were fresh! The pumpkin curry was delicious. The pad Kee Mao of my husband was a bit too sharp for him on level 4, but the taste was great.
Only 4 stars because HappyCow won’t let it have 5 stars as it isn’t fully vegan or vegetarian . Great options. All menu items can be made vegan by choosing tofu as protein and omitting egg, if the dish contains it. Friendly service, decent prices, great food. Must ask of you want spice added to your food, but they let you know this. I asked for medium and was suggested to get mild as the Thai chilis were very spice. I wish I would have gone for medium or medium plus, as I have had traditional Thai food before and enjoy the spice. I like that it is acceptable to all heat tolerances though. The truck was run efficiently with a smile. They totally understand vegan and claim that they DO NOT use fish sauce. Such a pleasant relief! Some dishes have egg, and are clearly labeled. Just tell them no egg. Almost everything is made to order so it 's easy to modify most everything. We ordered a number of dishes: Pad See Yu Noodles, Crazy (Drunken) noodles, Panang Curry, Spring Rolls (fried), Pad Thai, and Avocado Summer rolls (wrapped in rice paper). Everything was delicious. Great price and portion size. Will definitely go back.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly at this restaurant. They are very aware of what is vegan and what is not. The portions are large and the food is delicious. I will definitely be returning tomorrow to order the same dish again.
I visited this restaurant to order dinner for my partner and me and ended up experiencing a mix of good and bad dishes. I ultimately decided to give it a rating of 2 out of 4 stars. I would recommend calling ahead as they tend to run out of items on their menu (understandable, given that they operate as a food truck throughout the day). My first choice, curry, was unavailable but my second choice was delicious. Unfortunately, my partner's desired Pad Thai was also not available, and the staff suggested a sweet and sour dish instead. Although it wasn't exactly what we were expecting, we decided to try it. However, the dish turned out to be overly sweet and difficult to eat due to excessive sauce. I had some summer rolls, which were good, while my partner had spring rolls that were a bit messy. It's worth noting that the spring rolls are not vegan, as they contain egg. Despite the mixed experience, the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially for vegans. Overall, it was a unique dining experience with some standout dishes like the curry, as long as you avoid the overly sweet options. Be sure to call ahead and clarify your order to avoid any disappointments.
