Avaliação da contribuiçãoA very good meal. The staff was attentive and offers excellent service. The meal was faultless. We went to eat game that was cooked for perfection and served beautifully. I cannot recommend this place very much, but note that it is also quite expensive
Every so often a restaurant passes and changes your perception of a whole city. Chateau de Vuissens restaurant is one of the restaurants. The menu is very diversified, tasty, full of beautiful surprises and every 1-2 weeks the menu is changed so that you can taste and try all the specialties of the chef! Note: The dessert is like a rainbow in the mouth! I'm not saying anything else, you should go there and see yourself! Nice food, nice people, beautiful place, great trip!
This restaurant is located in a small renovated medieval castle, in a village halfway between Lausanne and Yverdon. Golfers can be familiar with him because it is just next to the Vuissens golf course, but otherwise it is a hidden gem. We live nearby so... it's a simple ride, but you should allow about 30 minutes from Lausanne and 20 from Yverdon. We were the only guests on this Sunday night except a family of six. The wooden fire in the entrance, and the main wait, both welcomed us with a warm welcome on this cold January evening. It wasn't our first visit, we were there twice, once with a few friends. The service was good on all occasions, especially on this. We like cooking. The portions are decently large and the cook that is French gives a lot of attention to detail. Sauces with meat are very good, and the accompanying vegetables are seasoned and cooked for perfection. There is a small selection of dishes, but each of them is very well prepared. And they have a good selection of wines. We discovered a Puglian red from black Malvoisie grapes that is incredible (we ordered it later from Belvini and now have a stock at home).
We ate there, my wife and I, because it was quoted in a magazine and not too far from our place. My GPS found it in the middle of a smooth countryside an old castle beside a beautiful 18-hole golf course. Charming welcome by a nice young man who rightly discouraged us to sit outside because of the temperature (34°) and in spite of the joyful people sipping there their aperitif. The very old dining room was fresh, probably because of the old stone pavement. The old chimney was spectacular, not because of its height but because of the size of the beams and pillar that supported the mantelpiece. We ordered the "Menu du Chateau", from which my wife took beef fillet in wine sauce and myself lamb as main courses. The Hors d'Oeuvre were beautiful and delicate and the meat dishes perfectly cooked. We had also followed the advice of the waiter to drink the wines chosen by the Chef to correspond to each course. My wife was delighted by her wines, yet I was less enthusiastic: the wines that I drank were good but short lasting in mouth. Excellent desserts. To summarise, excellent cuisine, friendly service and most beautiful environment. What else?
The best restaurant, very good food. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Food Whit Love Beautiful House and People
