Binchotan - Waimea (Kamuela)

Eating is good, not amazing. I was hoping for a sushi experience, but it is mainly cooked fish. if I'm on the big island, I want raw fish and much of it. my waitress was beautiful! No view of the sea, which is also annoying.

Wonderful restaurant with magnificent view and tasting of food.

Not as good as in the past, perhaps due to holiday season crowds. A few service hiccips, seated late, out of some items. Wish there were more vegetarian options. Skip the grilled avocado as it is an expensive small avocado with nothing else. Grilled mushrooms good. Grilled peppers were mild. Root vegetable salad good. Tempura cauliflower good, ordered two bowls of these. Mac nut shrimp was served lukewarm, not as crispy as usual. Mahi skewers a bit on dry side. Wine selection so so. Saw they offer cheesecake from Patisserie Nanako in Waimea didn't want dessert but should be good given the source.

Service was terrible not busy and food was cold when we got it. No refills on drinks who dinner and waitress never even removed menus from table.

Way over priced for the mediocre quality and small potions
