Lacasita - Waite Park

I visited this restaurant a few years ago when my daughter was just 3 years old, and it felt perfect to return now that she’s 6 and my son is 3. I loved the fun children's drinks with colorful mud—it was blue for my son, and he had a blast with his blue tongue, while my daughter enjoyed her red drink. They had their drinks, and I enjoyed mine too. The food was fantastic, and we had a wonderfully relaxing time. We arrived shortly after noon, expecting it to be busy, but it turned out to be quite manageable since we were seated right away. It was a great experience, and I hope others enjoy it just as much as we did!

They serve delicious, authentic Mexican dishes that are generously portioned and absolutely delightful. The restaurant is impeccably clean and has a wonderful atmosphere. I decided to try something different instead of my usual chimi today, and it was absolutely delicious! If you’re in need of a little mango magic to brighten your day, this is the place to go. Our server was incredibly attentive and prompt, making our experience at La Casita the best we've ever had. I must mention, though, that the salsa has some unusual carrots in it. It’s definitely an odd choice, but it doesn't deter me from coming back—the rest of the food is more than worth it!

Pollo Fundido with shrunk chicken and slightly seasoned cream cheese sauce is delicious. Baked ice cream with cinnamon ice cream is great! They have to take their outside seats back.

Good food and large portions. The salsa for the chips is very good. Our waitress, Allie, was Terrific. You don't realize how other servers are mostly mediocre until you are taken care of by Allie. She was anticipating all our needs and checking in at the appropriate times. We wrote her a note on the receipt and let the tip do the talking for us. My wife had the chicken/bacon quesadilla and I had the enchiladas. Both were good and there was plenty to bring home. Will go back soon and will ask to be seated in Allie's section.
