Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe really enjoyed eating that we had here. not a large selection, but delicious. pasties and cake for us. what a great location and a perfect stop for your walk. all staff friendly and looked clean and well organized. our only negatiw is that very long wait in a waiting queue. partly due to covid (which is good to keep people safe), but also it is not a large enough device for the sheer amount of footfall. not the fault of caffe. that's why I'd be happy to come back. hopefully for a quieter season. as the watermeet walks are beautiful.
Visited on Monday august on the third day of our holiday in lynmouth. we decided to complete the watermeet trail, from lynmouth to watersmeet this day back. a wonderful walk that inspired this holiday after julia bradbury had seen it. we visited the watersmeet tea rooms and hoped to have the whortleberry jam seen tee, but once inside, although it was history of the jam, there was in fact no whortleberry jam option with the cream tee and in the did, no cream tee advertised on the chalkboard menu at all. I say that because the menu on the website is extensive, but the one inside was limited. even with this limited menu, people asked if they could have a cream tea and there were prefabricated bags with ordinary jam. I had a pasty that was advertised as a meat paste that can be the most appearing description for a meal I can think of. in consideration of other businesses in nearby towns advertise award-winning pasties, this generic description corresponded to the quality but at a premium price. disappoint. the workers were hammered when I visited, although and remained cheerful and calm. I think some of the options do not help as with arten of coffee plus earl grey, decaffeinated, pfefferminze, kamille, wildberry ingwer and lemon green tea beside decaffeinated coffee, soy milk has been used in complexity without real use in my mind.
I absolutely love this charming old hunting lodge - it's one of my favorite places to visit. The cream teas here are absolutely delicious. The woodland surroundings and nearby rivers are truly stunning.
This cozy tea room has many outdoor tables and a few indoor ones. The menu is limited and the staff are few, so meals are only prepared until 2pm. The cafe can get quite busy and customers are expected to clear their own tables. The Dragon scones are highly recommended, and we enjoyed the cakes with our coffee. There is a small selection of ice cream on display in the freezer, but you can also request local brand tubs that are scooped to order until 2pm. There are many walkers around, as well as school groups, who all use the toilet facilities. The toilets were fine for us.
I have visited this restaurant numerous times in the past, but it has unfortunately declined in quality. The food selection is now limited to three types of pastries, some cakes, and scones, with nothing else available. Tea and coffee are served in disposable cups, and the pastries are served in disposable bags. The serving process is disorganized, with only one service position open and the rest of the counter blocked off, making it difficult to see all the available cakes. The service is also very slow, which makes me wonder if the issue is a lack of adequate staff.
