Peony Garden - Walnut Creek

Eat was fat and not taste. service was poor. the place had no ambiente. I wouldn't go back if that was the last place to eat.

We enjoy going to peony garden. the owner cyndi always says welcome back. our favorite waiter is theny and near is his assistent. eating is always well prepared and served beautifully. the ambiente is quiet and pretty. our children and grandchildren and friends enjoy the restaurant of tj very much.

Her special menu on Sunday Wednesday is a great price!

This was our fourth visit to the restaurant, but our first time dining on the terrace. The back terrace is a very relaxing spot to enjoy a meal by the beach. We celebrated a family event and the atmosphere at Essens could not have been better. Our guests, who had never been there before, were pleasantly surprised. The service could have been better on this particular Friday night, but the staff was apologetic and became very attentive as soon as they were made aware of the issue.

Really good Chinese food and the place is NEVER crowded. It's a little bit out of the way for Downtown Walnut Creek but go and explore things you've never seen on a Chinese restaurant. I had lamb with Cumin seeds and my wife had crispy chicken with garlic. Both were really good! Drinks are limited as they only have a beer/wine license.
