Contentious Character - Wamboin

We hosted a baby shower at Contentious Character in June 2018, and it was a wonderful experience. Jordan made the planning process incredibly easy and was very accommodating and helpful throughout. The venue itself was beautiful, with everyone enjoying the cozy fireplace, and the food and wine were exceptional. It offered excellent value for money, and the staff were delightful. My partner and I frequently visit the winery for tastings and have a great time every time we go. We always leave with plenty of wine and love bringing friends along for a memorable tasting experience!

We will definitely be returning! Our group was very impressed with the quality of the food, customer service, and the atmosphere. Each dish surpassed our expectations, with several people proclaiming, "it's the best I've had!" I was particularly impressed by the kids' veggie pasta, which was a refreshing change from the usual fish and chips or spaghetti Bolognese. We appreciated being accommodated for the Father’s Day special on Saturday since Sunday was fully booked. The tasting, tour, and meal created a delightful experience for all the dads. It was lovely to end the day relaxing by the fire with a glass of red wine. I can confidently say we’ll be back when the weather warms up!

We attended a wedding at this fantastic venue, and it was a perfect day. The food was delicious, the wine selection was excellent, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The variety of wines and beers available was outstanding. I highly recommend this place!

Great valentine meal today. Stuffed figs, salmon and trio dessert to share.... washed down with excellent pint rose sparkling.

We had the chance while on holiday with family in Canberra to visit and experience the hospitality and excellence of the food and wine. This winery has everything going for it! Great location, great wines, great food, and owners that are putting heart and soul into all. We wish them the very best in the future....strong grapes and fine wines x
